My Favorites

My most time consuming projects.

Aureate Radiance

Made with: Watercolor, Goache; Approximately 12x9in. Painted in Jan 2024.

The light creates a beautiful radiance, showering the girl in a effulgent glow.

I had originally made this piece with watercolor, trying to make the girl appear more delicate and light. However, I realized that to make the highlights and glow, there had to be contrast in the background, which caused my change to gouache. The hair and highlights are layered with thick, pigmented goache, but most of the skin is still the original watercolor.

A Brief Snow

Made with: Acrylic paint; Approximately 14x16in. Painted in Feb-Mar 2023.

Huddled in a fluffy scarf and thick jacket, the young girl holds her tender hands together, closing her eyes and appreciating the moment.

One of my all time favorite pieces. Depicts the first snow of a season, nothing is accumulating , which allows us to see the intricacy of the snow before the storm. Living on Long Island, where the snow almost never accumulates, we often ignore these beautiful instances.

A Lingering Ghost

Made with: Goache; Approximately 12x9in. Painted in Nov 2023.

An overgrown room full of vibrant and pleasing flowers, being taken care of by a ghost that refuses to leave.

My second time using goache, and I really loved it. I love how you can retain the consistency of acryilc paints, while still being able to obtain the lightness of watercolor. The goache really allowed me to continue layering and paint the abundant petals, grass, and leaves scattered across the page.

Feathered Dreams

Made with: Watercolor, Goache; Approximately 12x9in. Painted in Dec 2023.

The breeze flows the girls hair, covering her eyes in the midst of the moment.

I always strayed away from using watercolor. Not a big fan of it's layering style and always leaned towards the thicker paints. But the nature behind watercolor's faint style really stood out to me before painting this piece. Watercolor's layering technique is unique: being that you have to be very paitent and plan your initial colors behind your main colors. The layers are light, but accumulate, creating beautiful finishes that convey depth through it's hues.

Oranges

Made with: Acrylic paint; Approximately 18.5x14in. Painted in Feb-Mar 2021.

Made for my highschool's Drawing&Painting1 class where we had to paint an food from upclose.

Capturing the intracacy of an orange was exremely fun. When I used to have this posted on my instagram, one of my friends even asked "Why do you have a stock image posted on your insta?".

Moonlight's Serenity

Made with: Acrylic paint; Approximately 12x16in. Painted in Sep-Oct 2023.

A girl sits her mystical swing over the lake. Accompanied by her carefully placed flowers, plants, candles, and the beautiful moon that lies ahead.

I actually don't totally love the result of this painting. I really loved the idea, and was very excited towards painting the swing, moon, and layering the petals, plants, and candles. However, the plants on the bottom look rather messy to me now, and I don't like how the light works in the painting. Could have been avoided with better planning, but nevertheless a lot was learned.

Spider-Man Piece

Made with: Newspaper, Markers, Gouache; Approximately 15x20in. Made in Dec 2022.

Made for my highschool's Drawing&Painting2 class where we had to make a piece with newspaper.

Inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.

My entire AP Art Portfolio

My theme is nature's touch on humans. I try to incorporate some form of nature with a human entity. I chose this theme because although I was good at drawing objects at the time, I was really bad at drawing humans. This portfolio has allowed me to improve that a lot.

For these pieces, I usually start with a reference picture I particularly like, find fitting colors, and paint the drawing based on that.

Miscellaneous Drawings and Sketches

Drawn in my free time. Thumbnail quality is reduced to make the site run in sufficent time, please click on any particular image to view it's full quality. I chose a broad range of pieces I liked from 2020-2023, featuring pencil, pens, markers, digital, and pastels.
